TX802 Cadet News

TX802 Sheldon Cadets placed second in the 2010 Color Guard Competition and the 2010 TX802 Sheldon Drill Team advances to the Southwest Region Cadet Competition.


It was a close color guard competition at wing this year, but in a double tie-breaking decision the 2010 TX802 Sheldon Color Guard team finished second. Congratulations to the Pegasus Squadron for their First Place overall win in the 2010 Texas Wing Color Guard Competition.

Sheldon Color Guard cadets placed first in:
  • In-Ranks

  • Mile Run

  • Standard Drill


    • ...and second in:

      • Indoor Practical Drill

      • Outdoor Practical Drill

      • Written Exam


The Pegasus Squadron and Sheldon Squadrons tied in Panel Quiz with Pegasus winning first place. Resulting in an additional tie, which was won by the Pegasus Squadron.

• The Male Fleetfoot Award (in a photo finish with C/CMSgt Guerrero) went to TX802 Color Guard Commander - C/CMSgt Gabel

We wish the Pegaus Color Guard Team and the Sheldon Drill Team Cadets great success as they move on to the Southwest Region Cadet Competition and represent the state of Texas in Albuquerque, NM. GO BIG!
